1. Arijit was born on 25th of April, 1987 in Jiaganj, Murshidabad, West Bengal.


2. Arijit Singh’s father is a Punjabi and mother a Bengali. His maternal side family was always into music and hence, his childhood dream was to become a singer.

3. He was trained under the Hazari brothers at the age of 3. He earned a scholarship from the government of training for training into vocals in classical music at the age of 9. Arijit learned Indian classical music from Guru Rajendra Prasad Harjari, tabla from Dhirendra Prasad Harjari and advanced music, Bengali songs, and folk from Virendra Prasad Harjari.


4. His interest in music grew because of his mother who sang and played tabla. 


5. At the age of 18, he participated in a reality show Fame Gurukul in 2005.

6. During the show, Sanjay Leela Bhansali recognized his talent and asked him to sing ‘Yun Shabnami’ from Saawariya. Unfortunately, during the production, the script changed and his song was never released.

11. Arijit loves Kashmir once He said "I miss Kashmir" Living in Mumbai is not difficult, I have stayed in other places and my dad also has been traveling a lot, but I miss Kashmir. "Wahan ke logon ki badi yaad aati hai!" (I miss the people of Kashmir a lot). Not that I can't go even now for three or four days, but the work schedule is such that I can't manage. 35. Arijit’s dream is to work under Salman Khan's production house and for filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj. He is a big fan of Salman Khan However he had a controversy in 2016 during an award show then Salman removed his song "Jag Ghoomeya" which was later sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Arijit apologized to Salman by posting a letter in social media later he deleted that post.
